Probably the most successful of all our houses at integrating comedy and horror, several victims thought "Invasion Halloween" was hilarious while several others left shaking and in tears before they got all the way through.

Invasion was a homage to the great space invasion B-movies of the 1950s like "It Came From Outer Space," "The Day the Earth Stood Still," "War of the Worlds," and "Them!" Before going inside, our victims waited in a fake movie theater showing some of these movies. Inside the house, all the decorations and costumes were black and white only.

A squadron of hostile aliens from the planet Xinix had come to Earth to conquer the world. Army Sgt. Pat Riot and plucky teens Kurt and Anna volunteered to lead a group of survivors (our paying victims) to see if they could find out what the Xinixian secret weapon was, or if the aliens had any weakness. Unfamiliar with the Earth calendar, the Xinixians invaded on Halloween, so there were also vampires, werewolves, and zombies about (and angry at the Xinixians for going after their prey).

Sgt. Riot was soon shot down by a pair of Xinixian scientists doing experiments on humans. Kurt was so shook up that he had an asthmatic attack and needed his inhaler. Before they could attack anyone else, the aliens mysteriously dropped dead.

Also, radiation from an alien ship had made the local bugs enormous.

After making past all sorts of nasty creatures, Kurt and Anna managed to lead the group to the Xinixian command ship where Commander Zaz and a troop of alien soldiers were waiting to ambush them. Kurt panicked and had another asthma attack. When the Xinixians started coughing, he realized their alien bodies were allergic to his inhaler and he sprayed them all until they died. It was at that moment that the Xinixian secret weapon was revealed. The aliens had been cloning human bodies and replacing the brains with their own. The first victim was Anna!

The alien brain in the human body was not susceptible to Kurtıs inhaler, and when she pulled a ray gun out of her purse, it looked like he was through. Just then, though, Vlad, the leader of the vampires, burst in and drained the Anna alien of her human blood. Haven taken his full for the night and being as annoyed with the Xinixians as everyone else, Vlad let Kurt go, and told him to spread the word on how to destroy the invaders.
