The Spider Man, the Phantom of the Opera, and Jason scared kids and their parents at a Marshall Recreation Department Halloween party.
In 1992, The Marshall Recreation Department through a Halloween party for area kids and their parents to attend. They had the usual sorts of games, movies, and a little haunted house. Kids that were brave enough were invited to walk across the stage area upstairs.

Recreation Supervisor Teri Truduea invited a few friends to jump out at the kids in costumes. The day of the event, Brodie Brockie, Don Quada, and Ryan Wilcox grabbed some costumes and improvised a little scary act for their area.

The haunted house was the hit of the party, the adults seemed to like it as much as the kids. Afterward, either Brockie asked Trudeau or Trudeua asked Brockie if the other wanted to join them in putting on a big haunted house through the whole building the following year.

They've been doing them ever since.
