![]() Many stories circulate about Jesse Ball- the man and the myth. Here, now we present a few rememberances of this modern American legend: I don't know- it was slick, I skidded and the next thing I know, the car was on top of me. I was in the middle of nowhere. Then I heard him approach. I yelled for help, but he didn't respond. All of a sudden, I hear groaning metal, as the car slowly lifts off of me, enough to let me slip out. Thank goodness I wasn't badly injured, but when I finally got up, he was gone. Not a trace. God bless him. L. Wentworth- Lawrence, KS Hmmm..June 28, 1996. The KISS show at Tiger Stadium. There was this kid behind me just screaming through the whole show. Had his face all painted up. Wouldn't shut up. I almost punched him in the throat. M. Watts- Redford, MI Little Julie had been down there for, what was it? Eight hours? God. The paramedics and firemen were all there, tv crews all over- it was madness. We'd almost given up hope. Then, piercing the confusiuon, I heard a cry- it was my baby. I ran to the well and saw her being lifted up to me. It was Jesse. He had somehow tunneled sideways. I was so greatful. We would have paid him any amount. He simply said, "No, ma'am. That's just what I do," then he walked off into the distance. H. Robison - Blossom TX Well, we were having trouble with a shark that summer. Biggest one you'd ever seen. No one seemed to want to take charge, until he came in. When Jesse Ball disrupted that town meeting- we knew something'd get done, no matter what the cost. Damn shame what happened to him, though. S. Brodie - Amity, MASS Looking back on it, I guess it was kind of odd that he got so angry when I brought up Dale Jarrett. So, very, very angry. Good thing it was just our first date. T.
